Company Description
The Abilene Black AB Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to stimulating the economic, cultural, and social environment in Abilene. Our primary goal is to create a climate that enhances these developments for all people in general, with a specific focus on black individuals.
As part of our mission, we actively organize and promote various activities and events that contribute to the growth and prosperity of our community. One of our flagship events is the annual Juneteenth Festival, where we celebrate the emancipation of slaves and showcase the rich history and culture of African Americans in Abilene and beyond.
Another significant event is the Martin Luther King Jr Banquet Celebration, where we honor the legacy of Dr. King and his contributions to the civil rights movement. This banquet brings together community members, leaders, and influencers to commemorate his work and further the ideals of equality and justice.
In addition to these events, we offer scholarships for graduating seniors, providing financial assistance to exceptional students who are pursuing higher education. We believe in empowering young black individuals to achieve their full potential and contribute to the growth of our community.
To foster stronger connections and collaborations, we hold quarterly membership meetings where business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs can network, share ideas, and work together towards common goals. These meetings serve as a platform for growth, innovation, and resource-sharing.
If you would like to learn more about our organization or get involved, please feel free to contact us at 325-672-7950 or send an email to info@abileneblackchamber.com. Together, let's create a thriving and inclusive environment for everyone in Abilene.
