Kaufman is a Lewiston native. Obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Seattle University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She found her true calling in gastroenterology when she accepted a position working in Tri-State Memorial Hospital’s endoscopy suite.

Continuing education meant a Masters Degree in Nursing from Idaho State University, where she graduated in the top of her class.

Kaufman worked with a GI practice in Idaho Falls before returning home with her young family to work in the community she grew up in, through Lewis Clark Gastroenterology.

Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Special training in obesity management, Jennifer brings years of patient treatment experience with liver and digestive disease.

With nearly two decades of GI experience, Jennifer opened the doors to her own specialty practice in 2014, here in the Lewis Clark Valley. She continues to enjoy the variety that a GI health provider gets to experience, from routine screenings to complex diagnostics.

In 2022 due to her personal interest in health and our community, Jennifer began special training in Obesity Medicine. Jen has now expanded beyond digestive disease and has brought her knowledge of obesity management to our clinic and our community.
