Seeking Entrepreneur to Launch Compost Operation near Carbondale, CO as New CRMPI Livelihood Opportunity
CRMPI has identified a business opportunity for a self-motivated, passionate, and hard-working individual interested in building a livelihood and career based on organic compost. The operator of this livelihood will launch and manage a compost operation converting food waste, animal manure, and farm byproducts into rich, black soil, and then market organic compost, worm castings and compost tea services to consumers in the Roaring Fork Valley. You will have access to guidance from CRMPI administrators and additional support from interns and volunteers. Much of the work for this livelihood will be conducted near Carbondale, CO, but vermiculture and compost tea will be based in Basalt, CO at CRMPI. Therefore, travel between Carbondale and CRMPI will often be necessary. CRMPI has already conducted much of the legwork in finding markets for the products and services you produce, including a space at the Basalt Farmers Market, and clients of the Edible Landscape Nursery at CRMPI.
