Company Description
"If you're concerned, we're concerned." Prescott Area Pet Emergency Hospital (PAPEH), the first dedicated emergency and critical care facility for companion animals in Northern Arizona, opened on April 19, 2013 to offer compassion, care, and comfort to pets and their people. Until the opening of this practice, pets with medical or surgical emergencies, that occurred outside their primary veterinarian’s regular business hours, had to rely on the availability of an on-call veterinarian or drive nearly 100 miles to Phoenix for the nearest available emergency and critical care veterinary hospital. Such delays too often made it impractical or impossible for some patients to receive the care they needed and many pets succumbed to their injuries or illnesses before arriving at the facility.
PAPEH offers emergency and critical care services on the weekends from 5pm on Friday until 8:30am on Monday, weeknights Monday - Thursday from 5pm – 8:30am, and 24-hours on major holidays. In the first year of operation, emergency services have been offered to approximately 2,500 pets from Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, and Peeple's Valley, as well as the Verde Valley. We hope you'll never need us, but we're here if you do.
