Company Description

Megan Richard is originally from Dayton, Ohio, and migrated West to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1980. The allure of the mountains was captivating, and she never returned to the Midwest. After receiving a BA degree in Environmental Conservation, she spent her twenties working in resources, skiing, river guiding, and cartography. A mapping job with the Routt County Assessor’s Office led to a state certification in residential appraisal, and a 20+ year appraisal career.

Megan received her SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2016, demonstrating her continued commitment to the profession. Her experience includes ad valorum property valuation, Bank of America staff appraisal, and sole ownership of Yampa Valley Appraisal since 1997. Her expertise in residential valuation includes vacant land, condominium, townhome, and single family residence appraisals.
